Round 6 of the Cadet & Junior North Championships took place at PF International on Sunday, and it was a huge day for the championship battles, with three of the four titles now decided. Missed any of the action, you can watch it back over on Alpha Live!

Cadet Super Lightweight

Jack Thompson took a crucial victory in the Cadet Super Lightweight A Final, leading Muhammad Esa Subedar by just 0.065 seconds after nine laps, with Harley Drury completing the podium.

With Rowrah winner Freya Lally finishing the final in 9th, the result was sufficient to confirm Jack Thompson as the 2026 Club100 Cadet Super Lightweight North Champion.

With the championship title now decided, the battle for the remaining championship positions will continue at the final round at Warden Law on September 26th.

Junior Lightweight

Jacob Marples produced another winning performance in the Junior Lightweight A Final, taking victory by 2.809 seconds from Frederick Burden, with Sam Burnell completing the podium.

The victory at the home of British Karting was a victory parade after Marples’ 3rd place in the Pre A Final had moved him into a title sealing position ahead of Dan Griffin and others.

Jacob has been a dominant force throughout the season, but the remaining championship positions are still to be decided at Warden Law.

Cadet Lightweight

James Vout came out on top in the Cadet Lightweight A Final, finishing 3.083 seconds ahead of Jacob Underhill, with George Glossop completing the podium.

However, it was Luke Collins who secured the championship title after winning the Pre A Final and following that up with fifth in the Final at PFI. His consistency throughout the season has been rewarded with the 2026 Cadet Lightweight North Championship with a score 1 point greater than that possible for Underhill.

Underhill will look to secure 2nd place in the championship ahead of David Cadar and Jackson Burge in the final round at Karting North East!

Junior Super Lightweight

One championship remains undecided heading into the final round after a dramatic day of action.

Sam Morse took a superb Junior Super Lightweight A Final victory at PF International, beating Jenson Barnard by just 0.082 seconds, with Ellis McKenzie completing the podium. Such a result for Morse seemed unlikely after timed qualifying.

With a starting position of 13th in the Pre A Final, Morse recovered to 4th on the road. A result which provisionally handed the title to McKenzie. However, a place deduction for Matthew So moved Morse to 3rd and kept the mathematical possibility of the championship open.

Despite finishing behind Morse, McKenzie retains the championship lead heading into the final round.

Sam is now the only driver who can stop Ellis from taking the title, but he needs to win both the Pre A Final and A Final at Warden Law to do it. That sets up a huge championship finale on September 26th.
