NEWS! 35 Teams for SPA 27-28th May 2017… So Far.

SPA Main Deep 2 Working

Whitsun Bank Holiday weekend (May 27th & 28th) will see our 2017 European pilgrimage. Brought back in 2016 after a 6 year sabbatical, we restored the 10 Hour to it’s rightful place at the centre of Club100 Racing’s season. And once again in 2017 we will return to it’s spiritual home of Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium.

THE EVENT

Just one bank holiday weekend at the end of May, but 9 races ranging from 30min “sprints” up to 2.5hour endurance races – a full 10 hours of racing, plus practice and qualifying, competing across 3 ability classes, and about as much two stroke racing goodness as any good team can pack into 2 days.

Sunshine, Karting, Car Racing and lots of Trees. Spa rocks!

THE LOCATION

When we brought the 10 Hour back we took it back to the source, indeed to La Source, and it’s spiritual home in the infield between the Stavelot and Blanchimont corners of the historic Belgium Grand Prix circuit. Like it’s big brother, the karting circuit offers high speeds and fast, challenging corners, and is like nothing in the UK. Two days of great racing, superb facilities, good restaurants, sunburn and Belgium beverages…

THE FORMULA

It felt good to be back in Spa, like coming home. 2016 saw 39 teams, over 150 drivers, many with friends and family along for the weekend. And if it’s not broke, then we don’t fix it! 35 teams already agree with us and they have signed on again for the 2017 edition. That’s a huge vote of confidence in the best arrive and drive karting experience in Europe!

It leaves just 5 spaces left and we like round numbers. We want 40 teams!

THE FACILITIES & THE EXTRAS

One of the most challenging karting circuits in Europe, a clubhouse that supplies good food and beverages, and it’s roof garden offers great views of both the karting track, and the main circuit which will reverberate to the sound of European F3, GT, Radicals and Touring Cars during the running of our event. Petrolhead Heaven!

ACCOMMODATION & THE SOCIAL SCENE

The town of Spa and the surrounding villages offer a good choice of Hotels, Apartments and Gites (B&B). As well as an abundance of camping opportunities. Spa town (15mins away) is where the Club100 team will be staying, enjoying the nice bars, great restaurants catering for all tastes and the nightlife, and maybe even the famous Grand Casino…

THE BOTTOM LINE

This is as good as arrive and drive karting gets and Spa still manages to be very much a social weekend as well. And although we can’t promise sunshine, a great experience is virtually guaranteed.
