The lightweight championship is quickly becoming a 2-horse race between James Reveler and Luke Cousins. Indeed these two dominated qualifying with Cousins on pole ahead of Reveler. They both got away cleanly at the start and maintained position with Frederick Gallagher maintaining his grid slot in third. Club100’s elder statesman Glen Beard made an epic start to jump from 15th to 4th within a handful of laps but by this stage the top 3 had built up a huge lead. Cousins won by less than 1s from his main rival with Gallagher taking 3rd.

Reveler got his revenge in final 2 by claiming pole with Gallagher once again in the mix in 2nd. Cousins was a close 3rd. As the top 3 once again got away in grid order, it was once again Glen Beard who was the big winner, jumping from 8th to 4th. Reveler built up a 4s cushion over Gallagher who, in turn, built up a nice lead over Cousins. Glen Beard was quick but unable to make up significant ground to challenge for the podium. So Reveler won with Gallagher 2nd and Cousins 3rd.
