Move aside Young Drivers Championship the Club100 Junior Championships in association with Rotax Karting is coming through.

More than just a rebrand, the Young Drivers Championship has been a fantastic success and addition to the Club100 Championships in 2021 with full grids and great racing.

Catering to drivers aged 13 (in the year of their 14th birthday) and allowing Juniors to race through to 31 December in the year of their 18th birthday.

The 2022 Junior Championship dovetails neatly between our new for 2022 Cadet Championship, which will run on the same race days, and our Senior Championships. It provides a perfect stepping stone between Cadet and our Senior championships to move up from or up to, when the time is right. It is a great place to learn race craft with our full senior kart, or as a jumping off point into owner driver karting or stay with us.

The championship offers perhaps the strongest calendar for great venues and great racing that Club100 has ever had in 2022, great variety from some of the best karting circuits in England, 9 dates, 7 great circuits including an August visit to perhaps the finest facility in the UK at PF International.

Within the pricing for each race entry we have factored in 12minutes of practice as well as qualifying and racing.

Combined with the Cadets each round will run as half day format, alternating mornings afternoons.

KARTS, CHAMPIONSHIPS, FORMATS & TESTING

Like 2020 the pandemic caused further disruption to our championships this year, preventing us from getting started until April. I was determined to run our championships in their entirety, which we are on course to achieve. This is in spite of once again having to condense the season. In some cases seeing consecutive rounds over 2 weekends.
I can only thank you for your commitment and supporting us during these strange and stressful times.
Let’s hope 2022 brings us more normality and stability to our lives and the workplace.

Our plans for the Junior Championship for 2022 include:

KARTS:
The fleet, in its first year, will be fully refurbished as part of our end of season service programme.

ENGINES:
Brand new Rotax engines on the way for 2022!

BRAKES:
We shall be continuing with the Kelgate brake system, which will be fully serviced to include caliper re-builds and pistons replaced as new.

TYRES:
A decision is still yet to made on our tyre choice for next year. I’ll keep you informed.

PRICING:
We froze our prices this year as you know. It’s unavoidable that we will be increasing our rates next year. Inflation, fuel, raw materials, plastics, transport and shipping costs have gone through the roof!! However, I am remaining confident that things will settle down in some sectors. Details of our revised prices are listed with each championship below.

LIVE STREAMING:
Alpha Live, together with Double Dash Motorsport Media are on board for 2022, to film and produce selected Sprint, Cadet & Junior rounds.

AND FINALLY…

Perhaps the most important date in the 2022 season is actually in 2021. Registrations for the Club100 2022 Championships – we plan to go live on Monday 29th November 2021. Registration is completed via our new look 2022 website on the championship webpage, look for a registration button. Be aware however you cannot register for the 2022 Junior Championship at the moment, only from Monday 29th November.
