COVID Update – it is Face Masks from this Weekend at Lydd
I have received further guidance from Motorsport UK, which has been informed by the UK Government, and have reproduced it below.
This weekend at Lydd, face masks, and specifically face masks/coverings (correctly fitted) NOT visors, must be worn by competitors and staff alike, and drivers’ spectators. We will continue to operate on a limited footfall basis, limiting spectators to Driver +1.
(18/9/20) We have also received clarification from Motorsport UK yesterday regarding higher and lower density areas of footfall, and I’ve included another slide at the bottom of this post. Please bear in mind these are general principles covering all kinds of events and final responsibility falls on us, as the organisers.
In simple terms – As we are closed to general spectators, have limited human resources, we are are implementing this in the following and simple way to allow us to concentrate as much as possible on your racing:
Everyone must be face masked up at all times across the venue. Eat and drink in your household bubble in or by your car.
I understand this is not ideal, but plainly, if this extension to our previous policies is the only way we can go racing then so be it, and we will all have to adapt, without exception. As you will see non compliance has sanctions beginning with a warning, but up to and including removal from the venue, and these will be applied.
Let’s go racing safely.
