*Drivers are eligible to race in the Junior Championship in the year of their 18th birthday.
The Races take on the format of a practice session, qualifying session, Pre-Final and Final. Minimum racing weight limits are enforced. The Junior Championship is run over 8 rounds. Each event consists of a maximum entry of 48 drivers per class / per round.
Note: Novice drivers looking to move up to Club100 must attend a Test Session prior to racing.
Drivers must weigh (with race wear) a minimum of 41Kg to be eligible for the Championship. The Championship minimum entry weight limit is 63Kg. This can include race suit, crash helmet, gloves and boots. Any drivers weighing below 63Kg will enter the Super-Lightweight Class.
The Championship minimum racing weight is 60Kg
It is the driver’s responsibility to check their weight at each race using the CLUB100 scales. The recommended way of achieving the limit is weight fitted to a seat insert or attached to the two weight posts situated by the seat on the Karts. To determine a driver’s weight limit, each driver should include their full kit i.e. Crash Helmets, Overalls, Boots and seat Inserts. Random checks will be made throughout each day during the season and any driver found to be lighter than the required weight limit will be excluded from that race.
Practice is 12 minutes duration and is generally used by drivers to familiarise with the circuit and kart.
Qualifying is 10 minutes duration. At the 10 minute mark, the chequered flag is shown. The timing will continue to include each drivers final lap time.
Following qualifying, all drivers will compete in 2 Finals (A or B Pre-Finals and Finals). The top 20 qualifiers will be placed in the Pre-A Final, with the remaining drivers being placed in the Pre-B Final.
Each drivers finishing position in the Pre-Finals will determine the grid for the Finals.
The top 4 finishers in the Pre-B Final will repe-chage on to the back of the grid for the Pre-A Final and race again. Remaining drivers will compete in the B Final.
In the A Final, drivers are given 3 practice/kart check laps to test their karts prior to the race and may change their kart at any time during these 3 laps.
All Finals will be of 12 minutes duration
Drivers may wish to take advantage of our additional testing, which run on separate days.
The results along with championship tables from each race meeting are posted on the comprehensive CLUB100 website at the end of the event. Lap times, lap charts and virtual timing screens are also available. The race reports are usually posted within one week after each event.
Our Sprint racing is run on a very tight schedule, failure to arrive on time can result in you missing the event on the basis that you have not attended the briefing.
