Sprint 60 Championship 2019 – Lightweight Class
A brand new format for 2019, The Sprint 60 Championship is a series designed to fit in between Sprint and Endurance racing, offering a format of 15 Minutes Practice / Qualifying and two 30 Minute Races. Designed for individual drivers, this series is for those wishing to get the maximum amount of track time available, plus attract drivers wishing to race with us for the first time prior to entering our Sunday Sprint Championship. It is also a great opportunity for our Sunday Sprint entrants to compete in a full weekend’s racing and at the same time gain valuable track time prior to the following days racing. To create a level playing field, CLUB100 imposes a minimum weight limit of 75kg, the knock-on effect being extremely close racing. It is each driver’s responsibility to ensure they achieve the minimum required weight limit. Full details on how to achieve minimum weights are available on request. The season is run over 11 rounds with each driver’s best 16 individual race scores counting towards the championship and each class having their own separate championship tables. Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd are awarded to the top three drivers in both classes at each event.

Kart allocationEach driver’s Kart is randomly allocated for practice/qualifying and each race. To avoid confusion, drivers carry the same number for the entire season.
GridsThe grids for race 1 is determined by each driver’s fastest qualifying time. The grid for race 2 is determined by each driver’s finishing position in Race 1.
Practice / QualifyingA 10 Minute practice session is provided prior to qualifying. The session is used more as a warm up to familiarise with the Kart, circuit and conditions. An option to change your kart will be available. However, strict rules are enforced to prevent drivers from changing their Kart for little or no reason. At the end of practice, teams go straight into 5 minutes of qualifying.
The RacesThe races are 30 minutes duration. There will be a separate Heavyweight /Super-Heavyweight grid sharing the afternoon event, meaning that each session will be alternated between the classes.
